Day-to-Day

WeatherCaster – Script.

June 10, 2015

After over eight thousand pictures – half of them thrown directly in the trash – and five days of timelapsing, being the first two and a half a failed attempt due to poor planning, I finally have the background footage for the app’s video. Next monday I’ll shoot the “advertising” part of it, all science-like, and the greenscreen elements to finish the piece. In the meanwhile, here’s the processed HDR timelapse. A triple exposure every two minutes for a little over 48 hours. Around 12 hours of tone mapping on top of that and voilá! Now I need to time remap it according to the script below and the app’s interface, plus enhance the rainy parts in comp – as expected.

Below is the voice over/scientist explanation that runs over the video. Target length is 30 seconds.

Sometimes you get out of bed and the weather isn’t quite what you wanted for the day. To solve this issue, B.A.C. is releasing the Weather Caster, an easy to use app that allows you to suit the environment to YOUR needs!

Woke up late for work? Bring in the rain to take the blame. Or enjoy a sunny day outside. Love sunsets? Sure, not a problem. Want the day or night to never end or go by in a flash? All of this at the tip of your fingers. Download the Weather Caster now!
